Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (NKJV).”
When you think of warfare, what comes to your mind? According to the Bible, our true battle is not with anything or anyone on earth. In fact, the only thing a Christian is told to fear in scripture is God Himself . We know that Satan and His forces are a real enemy…the enemy of our souls. He doesn’t take days off, doesn’t fight by a set of rules, and loves to attack with stealth.
The early days of World War II in Europe changed warfare forever. The Battle of Britain is considered to be the first major military campaign that was fought entirely with aircraft. In late 1940, Germany changed tactics and began to bomb British cities, and the British press dubbed this tactic “The Blitz.” At one point, London was bombed for 57 days in a row, with an estimated 40,000 casualties. Throughout World War II many civilians were inevitably killed due to bombing raids, and in some cases strafing. The Empire of Japan surrendered after atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
