SUMMATIVE SUBMISSION – REPORT STRUCTURE
Your Report must be structured as shown below. Figures and tables must be numbered, given a title and source, and embedded in the text, NOT placed as an appendix . Start each major section on a new page, by inserting a page break at the top. Number your pages. Use the Harvard system of referencing and Ariel 12-point font with line and a half spacing on A4 page size. Must use textbooks and academic sources.

Your report will have:

• Section 1 Introduction
– This will briefly introduce the cargo type that you are researching and the concerns around its safe handling . Your outline should include an aim for the final report  and a summary of the report structure.
• Section 2 Literature review of the environmental and safety regulation of ships and cargoes
– A theoretical and academic review, using mainly academic book/journal sources, of the environmental and safety regulation of ships and cargoes. Start with a broad approach to safe operations , and maritime .regulation , then narrow down to as close as possible to your particular cargo type .
• Section 3 Critical evaluation of the International Regulations around your cargo type
• Section 4 use your case study or studies together with relevant industry guides and any other information to examine problems around safe operations in practice .
• Section 5 Discussion and conclusion .
