Students will compose four reflections in which they will synthesize readings, literature circle discussions, and reading response discussion posts. In these analytical reflections, students will engage in literary analysis using specific details from the assigned texts to form a well-supported argument. Connections between students’ experiences, other assigned texts, and social, political, historical, and cultural contexts should be discussed with an emphasis on teaching Young Adult Literature in the secondary classroom. Each reflection should be 3-5 pages in length. All papers are expected to be double-spaced, with 1” margins, and in 12-point Times New Roman font.
