Assessment Task:
Individually you are required to present a 6 minutes and 40 seconds Pecha Kucha (20 slides of 20 seconds). Depending on government restrictions this will either be in class or online.
Assessment Instructions:
You are to research a tourism organisation’s product or service of your choice and produce a 6-minute 40-second Pecha Kucha (see below for what it is) presentation based on the following:
Aim and objectives of your presentation
The product or service: Introduce the product/service and then analyse the markets in which it competes.
Market Research: Reflect on any market research you come across with regards to the product/service. Define the key customer segments and critically analyse and evaluate their different needs.
Competition: Conduct an analysis of the key competitors and their strategies in the market.
SOAR Analysis: Conduct a SOAR analysis on the product/service and establish critical recommendations on the success of the product/service (based on your SOAR findings) within a globally competitive environment.
Strategic Recommendations: Make strategic recommendations as to how sales and revenues of the product/service could be developed.
Conclusion and Recommendations: Develop critical conclusions and recommendations with regards to the marketing of the product/service (based on all of the above).
Remember that you are expected to use underpinning theory to support your arguments and to establish a critical discussion.
