Description: Students will write a 5-6 page (maximum) paper analyzing a particular administrative rule or policy. The paper must cover: the source of authority for the rule or policy; the people affected by the rule or policy; the enforcement procedure/s for the rule or policy; the due process chain (if any) for the rule or policy; and a personal perspective of the rule or policy (e.g., its efficacy; fairness and relevance).
The paper should then compare and contrast this policy to the role of an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by understanding, responding to, and influencing the larger political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context. Reflect on what impact this policy has had on the development and implementation of a shared vision of learning for all students.
