Description
You are a family child care provider. You have accepted a child with HIV/AIDs in your program because you know from research studies (Freeman 2000) that the disease had never been transmitted in a preschool setting, and you feel this family deserves a change.
Although you have respected the family’s confidentiality, as required by law, somehow the other families find out and threaten to withdraw their children from your care. You allow the family to stay and decide to provide information to the family about managing infectious disease in a child care setting.
In the first paragraph of your initial post describe what information you are going to give the family. Draw on the content from the textbook, the lecture, and the Colorado guidelines.
In your second paragraph tell us why allowing the child to stay is ethically correct according to the Code of Ethical Conduct. Tell us specifically which principles or ideals apply to this situation.
