1-three-page essay, analyze the poem by explaining its different features, and how they work together. Such features or aspects of the poem might include images, comparisons, characters, situations, stories, locations, ideas, language, or patterns, for instance. Explain how the poem uses such elements.
2. Use brief quotations from the poem to develop, illustrate, or “prove” the various points discussed in your essay. Imbed each quote in a sentence which begins substantially with your own words. For each imbedded quote, make sure that your words and the quoted words together make a grammatically correct and complete sentence. Include a parenthetical line number reference for each quote as well:
