Read Tom Standage’s History Retweets Itself” (an excerpt from his book Writing on the Wall) beginning at the bottom of page 97 and going to page 103 (in Chapter 3) of our textbook, From Inquiry to Academic Writing, 5th ed.
Then answer question 1 on page 97 of the textbook which continues, “follow the steps to writing yourself into the conversation, and write a short, one to five page argument.
In doing so, retrace the conversations by explaining Standage’s argument in ways that demonstrate your understanding of it. In turn, formulate your own position by explaining whether you believe that Standage has represented the issue well.
