Your organization gathers instructors at each level—e.g., K-5, 6-8 or 9-12—for a back-to-school assembly where they are welcomed back. During this meeting, plans for the upcoming year are discussed. You will develop a PowerPoint presentation that you will use to present to your grade level your findings on the state of educational technology in your district. If you are interested in a setting outside of PK-12 education, imagine a scenario in which are asked to present the state of educational technology within an organizational context relevant to your current or future interests.
First, examine the current and various historical perspectives and trends surrounding educational technology—including the definitions for educational technology, instructional technology, and integration plan. Use these historical perspectives and trends to document the state of educational technology in your own organization. Where does your organization stand in the history? Is your organization prepared for the educational technology trends on the horizon?
Then, generate a rationale for technology integration based on your analysis, research findings, current teaching practices, and types of problems or new trends that technology applications can solve in your organization.
Length: 12-15 slides
References: Minimum of 3 scholarly resources
Notes Length: 100-150 words for each slide
Be sure to include citations for quotations and paraphrases with references in APA format and style where appropriate. Save the file as PPT with the correct course code information.
