Now that you’ve explored different areas of visual communication and spent some time choosing or creating images, let’s have a little fun. Have you ever seen an image that did not work to communicate the right message to the right audience?
This could be a logo that depicted something not intended by the artist, or an image attempting to appeal to a particular demographic but falling short. It could even be a visual you found and rejected in fulfilling this week’s assignment, or an image you created at some point in your life. The visual could be an epic fail or it could just be something that didn’t quite work out.
Describe the image and post it if appropriate. Why does the image not function as intended? What visual principles and other choices are at play? If this is an image you thought about using but didn’t, what made you reject it?
